SOMETIME WE ALL NEED A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT

Valentine’s Day is all about spendingWelcome_Break_Changing_Places_02.jpg time with those you love… Your husband, wife, fiancé, partner, yourself or your family.  Sharing moments with those who will support you, no matter what, and enjoying the small things.

I’m lucky enough to work for a company who go the extra mile to support their customers.  A company that helps to change lives to ensure everyone is given the best advice and correct equipment to serve them for very many years and make their lives easier.

Astor-Bannerman (Medical) Ltd design and manufacture high quality assisted bathingchanging and hoisting equipment as well as accessories which are all installed in homes, public attractions, hospitals, respite centres, care homes and more.

Our equipment is seen (and used) in many Changing Places toilets such as Welcome Break Service Stations, Premier League Football Club Stadia, National Trust attractions, Tesco, Asda to name just a few.

But as well as installing into high profile venues such as these, Astor-Bannerman take the time to visit and demonstrate equipment to anyone looking for advice and equipment for their adaptations – completely free and without obligation.

NO JOB IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL

The aim is to make sure those specifying and purchasing from us, such as Occupational Therapists, Architects and contractors etc., can do so easily with no complications. In addition, the people and contractors etc can do so easily with no complications.

In addition, the people who use our equipment see the benefit both from a therapeutic perspective as well as a physical side with reduced risk of back strain and injury. This means that families can spend more quality time together and care is much easier. It can even become something that the whole family can enjoy together as Debbie Chapman explains,

“Archie’s first bath in the Astor-Bannerman Rio was a revelation and it has completely changed his quality of life. The height adjustable feature is brilliant and will become even more important as Archie grows.  He loves bath time as the feeling of the warm water means he totally relaxes his limbs and from a mother’s perspective his brother Jack can now join Archie in the bath, making it a real ‘family time’ which is so precious to us.”

17-year-old Georgia Craigie from Dagenham is also now able to enjoy a daily bath at home following the installation of the Astor-Bannerman Kiva height adjustable bath.

As part of our free after sales package, product specialist Kane provided mums Sarah and Michelle with training on how to use the bath in conjunction with the Body Support Cushion which they purchased to ensure Georgia would be as comfortable as possible and keep her securely in position. Sarah recently told me,

“Kane was fantastic. From our first conversation when I started researching bathing options for Georgia he was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He visited us to meet Georgia, asses her requirements and was on hand throughout the ordering and installation process to offer advice and allay any concerns we had. Seeing the way Georgia relaxes and how happy she is, means the world to us.”
