Foundations, the National Body for Home Improvement Agencies, are commissioned by Communities and Local Government to;

•Develop and expand home improvement agency services
•Provide advice, training and support to home improvement agency staff
•Represent the sector in discussions with government and other stakeholders

Home Improvement Agencies (HIAs) are locally based, not for profit organisations, which assist older disabled and other vulnerable home owners and private sector tenants to repair, improve, maintain or adapt their homes.
