In partnership with Healthmatic, Astor Bannerman has delivered a new Changing Places facility at Leith Links, Edinburgh.

Leith Links is a popular public park in the heart of Edinburgh, frequented by families, community groups, and visitors exploring the surrounding neighbourhood. Ensuring accessibility here is essential for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as other serious mobility needs.

The addition of a Changing Places facility guarantees that everyone can enjoy Leith Links safely and with dignity. This installation is part of the City of Edinburgh Council’s ongoing commitment to inclusive public spaces across the city.

Healthmatic managed the modular build at Leith Links, integrating the Astor Bannerman equipment into a durable, high-quality structure.

Their extensive experience delivering public toilet and Changing Places facilities across the UK ensured that the installation was completed efficiently and to the highest standard. The result is a facility that can withstand high footfall while remaining fully accessible.

Although this facility was not part of the 2025 Scottish Government £10m funding programme for Changing Places, the initiative highlights opportunities for charities, community projects, and public venues to enhance accessibility across Scotland.
