David, Gary & Ray – Specialist product advisors for the North, East & East

We’ve been busy with exhibitions the last few weeks, one of which was the annual Kidz up North show at Event City in Manchester which is organised by the team at Disabled Living.  The event is now well established and one of the biggest free UK exhibitions for children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, their families and those who work and care for them.

Astor-Bannerman have exhibited at the event for many years and 2014 was one of the busiest to date!  Whilst on our stand we spoke to lots of our current client base as well as made some new Occupational Therapists, parents, children and young with complex needs as well as Changing Places supporters who are new to Astor-Bannerman.

The equipment on our stand at the show attracted a lot of interest, in particular the contemporary looking Avero Motion height adjustable and reclining bath with options of air spa, aromatherapy, music and light therapy.

Another show stopper and favourite of our clients was our extra-long Kiva height adjustable bath with patented Neatfold stretcher, knee block and vacuum body support.

The Avero Motion bath and Kiva baths can be seen in action on our You Tube Channel here

In addition, the show saw out ABW Wash Basin which is recommended by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and the Vanna hi/low side entry bath with padded cushions and internal supports.

Not only did we have the chance to demonstrate these products but we also welcomed Mike LeSurf from the Changing Places campaign and their sponsors Aveso to our stand.  Event City has a fully kitted out Changing Places toilet complete with ceiling hoist and wall mounted changing table.  We placed a guestbook in the room and here’s what one visitor had to say:
