Changing Places Case Studies


As co-sponsor of the Changing Places Campaign, Astor-Bannerman (part of Aveso Ltd) have assisted with the design of rooms and the specification of equipment to ensure that the disabled users and their families or carers have access to the right high quality equipment to make their daily lives as easy as possible.

Our services don't stop at the specification stage however.  Our qualified engineers ensure that equipment is installed to the highest standard and provide back up servicing as required.

Here are just a few Astor-Bannerman Changing Places projects which have helped increase accessibility

Attingham Park National Trust Venue, Shropshire

As part of a growing relationship, Astor-Bannerman installed the first ever Changing Places at an Englend National Trust property.  The Changing Places in the old Brewhouse paves the way for more National Trust venues and features our A2B Ceiling Track XY Hoist, Nivano Changing Table and ABW6SP Wash Basin.

Glasgow Central Station

The new Changing Places Astor-Bannerman have installed at Glasgow Central Station which is a major mainline terminus and the larger of the two present main-line railway terminals in Glasgow.  Featuring our A2B Ceiling Track XY Hoist, Nivano Changing Table and ABW6SP Wash Basin this new facility is a huge step forward for future transport hubs making travel to and around Scotland much easier.

Liverpool FC, Anfield Stadium

As part of a huge development at Anfield Football Stadium, Astor-Bannerman installed a colour coordinated Changing Places facility to enhance the enjoyment for many disabled Liverpool FC supporters.  This Changing Places pust Liverpool FC on the map as the 2nd Premier Leage Football Club to install a Changing Places toilet.  Included as part of the project was the Astor-Bannerman Mona Mobile Changing Table in team colours.

Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff

The Wales Millennium Centre is an inclusive area where the arts and equality for all is actively promoted and encouraged.  With our A2B Ceiling Track XY Hoist, this new facility which is registered as number 779 meets needs of locals and visitors with limitations and disabilities allowing them to use the toilet in comfort and with dignity.


Bradgate Country Park, Leicester

Listed as one of the UK's Top 10 Parks in the prestigious TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Awards, Bradgate Country Park contacted Astor-Bannerman to assist with incorporating a Changing Places facility as part of their ongoing development.  Our Carlo Mobile Hoist, Nivano Changing Table and ABW6SP Wash Basin were all installed making this tourist attraction more accessible.


Tesco Extra, Stourbridge, West Midlands

Astor-Bannerman helped to make history as Tesco Extra in Stourbridge became the first Tesco store and only the 2nd major UK Supermarket to install a Changing Places facility.  Our A2B Ceiling Hoist was supplied to make visiting the Supermarket easier for disabled cunsumers and their families. Sheffield Teaching Hospital, Sheffield Northern General Hospital, Sheffield

Astor-Bannerman assisted with the modern Changing Places at Sheffield Northern General Hospital by supplying the ABW Height Adjustable Wash Basin and Multicare Mobile Shower and Treatment Trolley in a very tight time frame to help make their place of care more accessible for all their patients and users.


The Guildhall at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea

As part of a huge regenoration and restoration project, Astor-Bannerman installed the bariatric CT190 Changing Table and A2B Overhead Ceiling Hoist into the Changing Places toilet at The Guildhall multi-purpose entertainment venue in Swansea, making art and entertainment accessible to all.
