“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. They are the real heroes, and so are the families and friends who have stood by them.” – Christopher Reeve
“A hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people” – Maya Angelou
It’s with a sad and heavy heart that we say sleep well to the very brave 14 year old Joshua Wilson – a real life Super Hero.
Super Josh was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just 3 years old and following lifesaving surgery, was left in a coma for months which resulted in Josh having complex physical needs, epilepsy, scoliosis, joint problems and an acquired brain injury.
The bravery Josh has shown through his short life is incredible and his Charity, The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, has raised over £100,000 in just one year. The money is being used to help other children with Brain Tumours and post-surgery disabilities like Josh and will be his legacy.
As sponsors of The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, all of us here at Astor-Bannerman are so proud to have met and worked with Josh.
Joshua – Your smile will live on in the hearts of the thousands of people you have touched.
Our sincere condolences go out to Josh’s mum and dad, and all the friends and family of SuperJosh.
