One of the first products designed and manufactured by Astor-Bannerman back in 1993 was the height adjustable wash basin which, although had undergone numerous developments over the years, still remains one of our most popular products. This was developed for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to assist with independent living and care.
Purchasing and Warehouse Manager Phil Grant, has worked at Astor-Bannerman for 15 years and has 2 sons, one of which, Chris Grant (27) has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an incurable condition which causes muscle weakness. Phil dedicates almost every second of his spare time to raising as much money as possible to help other people like Chris. Most of his fundraising involves the powers of ‘Wonder Woman’.

In 2013 Phil attended 47 separate events and it is with great pride that we can announce that with the support of the generous public, Phil managed to raise an impressive £3408.59.
£282.69 of the money raised will be donated to Helen and Douglas House, a hospice for children and young adults.
