The Legoland Discovery Centre, in Manchester’s Trafford Centre, is the ultimate playground for children (and adults) who love the magic of Lego. The centre has over 10 Lego play zones, 3 rides and a 4D cinema making it a major attraction for a wide range of people.

With over 250,000 people in the UK living with complex disabilities, Legoland recognised a need to make their facility more accessible so all children could experience the fun. They already had three accessible toilets but knew these weren’t sufficient for everyone’s needs.

When the Legoland Discovery Centre was first built it was to the correct standards, however they knew they needed to evolve and adapt to make the centre more inclusive.

We worked with the team at the Legoland Discovery Centre to install a fully compliant Changing Places Toilet (CPT), which included equipment from the Astor Bannerman’s Changing Places product range:

Legoland Discovery Centre believe that other tourist attractions should install Changing Places Toilets so that families can enjoy days out together, without additional pressure.

“Every family has the right to get out and about and enjoy the fantastic attractions across the UK, this is something venues need to consider and address.”
