The CARLO Alu Comfort EP 185 mobile hoist for clip slings, takes the trusted performance of the CARLO Alu range a step further by adding an Electric Positioning System (EPS) – a feature that transforms how caregivers interact with residents during transfer. Rather than manually adjusting a resident’s position, carers can now do so effortlessly, precisely, and without physical exertion, all while maintaining direct, reassuring contact with the person in their care.

The EPS enables seamless transitions between sitting and lying positions, making it straightforward to position a resident correctly over a toilet or into a care bed. Residents benefit from noticeable pressure relief on their legs, particularly when lying flat. The clip-system hanger bar offers a full 360° free rotation range, ensuring there is no risk of the resident’s knees or legs making contact with the lifting column during movement.

As with all CARLO Alu products, the Anti Rotation Mechanism (ARM) actively prevents unwanted sling rotation and reduces swinging, allowing transfers to be performed safely by a single carer. The lightweight aluminium-steel construction is fully suited to bathroom and showering environments, and the electrically spreadable chassis with a low 125 mm profile passes easily under beds and bathtubs.

The hand control displays battery charge status at a glance, while high-quality double castors ensure smooth manoeuvrability across all floor types.
