Product Description

The NORA Pro represents the next generation of sit to stand aids, combining advanced engineering with a deeply considered approach to resident comfort and dementia-friendly design. At its heart is the innovative 3D-Comfort-System – a large, flexible multi-layer Memory Foam leg support cushion that conforms to a wide range of body sizes and leg shapes, providing a secure, comfortable hold throughout the standing and transfer process.

The 3D-Comfort-System’s two swivel axles mirror the natural upward movement of the resident’s legs, creating an ergonomic and reassuring lifting motion that is markedly different from the experience offered by conventional active lifters. Combined with a horizontal, detachable footplate, the result is a standing-up motion that feels natural and dignified for the resident. Additional sling attachment points at a lower position ensure that smaller residents (under 1.60 m) are supported without uncomfortable pressure under the arms.

A key feature of the NORA Pro is its dementia-friendly colour concept: all contact surfaces – the leg support, grip handles, and footplate – are finished in a warm red (RUBIN) tone, a colour clinically shown to be most easily perceived by people with dementia and age-related visual decline. This high-contrast design supports orientation and helps residents engage confidently with the equipment.

Powered by a Lithium-Ion battery with a full-function LCD display, the NORA Pro is lightweight, compact, and capable of single-carer operation. Safety belts with a retractable mechanism add security without added complexity.
