The CARLO Alu Comfort EP 230 for clip slings is a premium mobile hoist designed for the care of plus-size residents requiring transfer support up to 230 kg. It combines the structural strength of an aluminium-steel hybrid construction with advanced care technology – including the Electric Positioning System (EPS) and Anti Rotation Mechanism (ARM) – to deliver a transfer experience that is both highly capable and exceptionally gentle.

The EPS allows caregivers to position residents precisely and without physical effort, moving them smoothly between sitting and lying positions as needed for toileting, bathing, or repositioning in a care bed. The extra-wide stainless steel 4-point hanger bar with clip sling system features a full 360° free rotation range, with ample clearance to prevent contact with the lifting column – particularly important for plus-size residents who require more space during transfer.

The ARM prevents any swinging or rotational movement of the hanger bar, giving residents an enhanced sense of security and allowing single-carer transfers to be performed with confidence. The electrically spreadable chassis opens to an inner width of 1100 mm, and the 125 mm chassis height allows straightforward access under care beds and bathtubs. Closed high-quality double castors ensure reliable, quiet movement.

A hand control with battery charge status display and the option for a digital patient scale round out a specification designed for comprehensive bariatric care.
